AT PCFL, Mission Committee works closely with Christian Education and Youth to assemble School kits for boys and girls in Afghanistan. Health kits were assembled for Tsunami relief for Church World Service.
PCFL Mission Committee Charter is our guiding principle in our work:
The purpose of Mission Committee shall be to work toward the following goals:
- To inform and educate the congregation, interpreting the mission work of the church nationally and internationally.
- To increase financial support for mission and be responsible for special offerings.
- To undertake action on behalf of the congregation in the area of mission/social concerns and significant political issues, and to coordinate such activities within the church and provide the congregation with opportunities to participate.
- To encourage members to fulfill their responsibilities as faithful members by:
- Supporting the work of the church through the giving of money, time, and talents.
- Responding to God's activity in the world through service to others.
- Living responsibly in the personal, family, vocational, political, cultural, and social relationships of life.
- Working in the world for peace, justice,freedom, and human fulfillment.
